ATLANTA – Ken Toussaint has pocketed a lottery win worth a quarter-million dollars. Toussaint, 55, held a winning lottery ticket in his back pocket for more than a month before checking it. He is one of three players each to win a $250,000 prize from matching the first five winning numbers in the Dec. 12 Mega Millions drawing.

"I've had it in my wallet all this time," said a stunned Toussaint.

He purchased the Quik Pik ticket at the Georgia Lottery Corporation's Airport South Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The grandfather of three was on his way to California when he purchased it.

Winning numbers from the Dec. 12 Mega Millions drawing were 10-16-19-27-48 and the Mega Ball was 25. Other second prize tickets were purchased in Forest Park and Sparks. The $207 million jackpot for the Dec. 12 Mega Millions drawing was sold in Piqua, Ohio.

Toussaint said he remembered the lottery ticket in his wallet and checked the winning numbers on the Georgia Lottery Web site.

"I went numb," he said. "I'm still numb. I'll probably scream later."

Toussaint and his wife, Petula, together have three children. He plans to further his education with his lottery win.

"I feel very good," he shared. "Almost like a dream."
