Jackpot Soars

The EuroMillions Jackpot for the draw on Friday 22 August, 2008, has soared, and is expected to be worth around €69,000,000 (around £55,000,000). This is thanks to four consecutive EuroMillions draws that have failed to produce any jackpot winners.

Will one winner scoop the whole lot this Friday? Will several winners share the jackpot? Or will the jackpot rollover yet again? These are questions that we won’t be able to answer until after the draw, but excitement about the €69 million prize is certainly mounting.

The winning numbers for the last draw on Friday 15 August, 2008, were 11, 17, 18, 26 and 31, and the Lucky Stars were 5 and 6. Just six people managed to match all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a very impressive €530,672 each. That’s not quite as good as winning a million, but it’s certainly a useful sum
